Composed using geometry and mathematical relationships from the 16-fold symmetry rosette quilt designed by Kat Hernden and depicted in the cover art, “Do Look Back” is the musical translation of those ratios in just intonation. Hernden utilizes organs to explore these relationships and spaces between notes, resulting in a plethora of tones that are minimal yet impactful, emanating warmth and an irrefutable calmness.
Milhowse — September Always Brings the Change [LP]

Milhowse’s sophomore studio album builds upon the familiar groundwork laid in their previous 2025 release ‘E’ is for ‘Existential Crisis’ and represents a progressive step forward for the band and their overall cohesion. With tighter vocal harmonies and melodious midwest emo guitar riffs taking centre stage, the group delivers a compelling ode to September.

Slough makes a striking first impression with “Breezin”, the laid-back lead single off their forthcoming debut self-titled album set for release on October 30. Composed of members from other local bands such as Hank, Hyness and Softcult, their sound harkens back to the 90s with catchy lead guitar and vocal melodies working in tandem effortlessly.
Weekend Warranty — Sailin’ Away (Single)

Weekend Warranty is new to the local scene and consists of members who have all recently moved to the Region of Waterloo. The band’s debut single “Sailin’ Away” is a bittersweet tribute to the old friends they left behind. The bright jangly guitars and charming chorus paired with the solemn lyrics make for an emotionally impactful listen.
