  • 519 Schmecks: Sparking Up A Meat-Cute

I am often asked my favourite thing to cook, and in a cringe-worthy cliche moment I always say “the last thing out of my kitchen.” I’ll dance around mushrooms and […]

  • 519 Schmecks: Corn Smut And Nothing But

Food can undoubtedly be weird! Oysters, cheese, sauerkraut and fish sauce are all weird. When I was a kid I loved the taste of Campbell’s cream of mushroom soup but […]

  • 519 Schmecks: Thought for Food and Pete’s Pork Roast

Hey food lovers, long time no talk, I have to apologize, it’s been a while and I’ve neglected you, but I’ve been busy, extremely busy. I don’t remember ever being […]

I’m often asked what a chef has for dinner at home — and special occasions usually bring even higher expectations. I often disappoint. My birthday dinner is usually a hot […]

The only thing that frustrates me more as a restaurateur than dirty washrooms, might be restaurant reviews from local newspapers. The combination of an assumedly non-existent budget and a writer […]
